Staryye dorogi production site
In the 1940s, a small factory in the structure of "Raimasloprom" worked in Staryye dorogi. The production – the manager's room, an office and a creamery – was located in a wooden house. The manual separator processed about 200 kilograms of raw materials per hour. The churn was also handmade, wooden. The water was heated in a brick oven. The cream was pasteurized here. The oil chamber was cooled with ice harvested in winter. Before the war, milk to the factory came mostly from the population and a little from collective farms.
New workshops have appeared, the product range has expanded. In addition to butter and whey-based beverages, cottage cheese began to be produced.
In the 60s, the plant installed the first mechanical equipment and its own solid fuel boiler, drilled its own artesian well. As before, dietary and cottage cheese were made by hand, ice cream was made in a primitive way, raw casein was gradually dried in the sun, sour cream and kefir were produced.
In the second half of the 1980s, the construction of the production building was completed, the administrative building, warehouses, garages, and a new transformer substation were put into operation. The boiler room was reconstructed, the building of the existing production workshop, laboratory and sanitary facilities were overhauled, the territory of the plant was fenced and landscaped.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the company acquired a filling machine for filling milk, launched a casein shop, and put garages into operation.
In 1995, the plant was transformed into an open joint stock company, and in 2006 it was joined to JSC "Slutsk Cheese Factory" as a branch, a year later it was reorganized into the Starodorozhsky production site of JSC "Slutsk Cheese Factory".
